university hubs

As we brainstormed about ways to bridge between the academy and practice, we realized we had to become more engaged at the level of the academy. How can ArchiteXX better prepare and support upcoming and recent architecture graduates? What if students were more connected across different universities prior to graduation? What networking and collaborative opportunities could this help create? How could our organizational programming be adapted at the level of the university? We are working with women in design groups across the state and region coordinated with local faculty to help develop and foster university women in design hubs that are student led and directed. We are facilitating opportunities of introduction, connection, mentoring, lecturing and strategizing for female students of architecture. Through these university hubs, we hope to better prepare these young architects to succeed and eventually become leaders throughout all levels of architecture.
