Over the past six years, ARCHITEXX has organized more than 200 regularly scheduled events that bridge academia and professional practice.
Annual membership supports events and programs such as
Monthly Happy Hour meetings to welcome new members and exchange ideas about current issues
Brown bag lunch lectures at universities across New York State
Writing support groups to work with women who would like to develop work for publication
Mentorship meetings held at members’ homes to discuss such subjects as “How to Start Your Own Firm” or “Parenting: Combining Family and Work,” as well as one-on-one mentorship meet-ups on an as-needed basis
Reading Group sessions as a way to connect to, promote and deepen understanding of the feminist tradition of which we are a part
Monthly writing group to help members “find their voice” and share their thoughts and publish on our online journal sub_teXXt

Website that connects diverse groups of architects and a blog presenting more than 60 topics of conversation and debate at architexx.org
Annual global #wikiD writing workshops, a social media campaign tied to Women’s History Month, encouraging individuals to write Wikipedia entries about women designers, architects and all those involved in the creation of our built environment
A high school teaching program (an NYU initiative) A design call and an exhibition, Private Choices/Public Spaces, in conjunction with public programming examining how design can enable dialogue in contested public spaces
A nationwide traveling exhibit Now What?! Advocacy, Activism and Alliances in American Architecture Since 1968 examining and writing the little-known history of architects and designers working to further the causes of the Civil Rights, Women’s and LGBTQ movements of the past 50 years—the first of its kind—with content, conversation and stories to inspire a new generation of design professionals to see themselves as agents of change. Since May 2018 Now What?! has been exhibited in 6 locations across the country and North America; it is scheduled for 5 additional locations through part of 2020 with plans to travel for another year into 2021.
